Working alongside 1284 Communications
We’ve worked with 1284 Communications for several years. Together, we developed shared pipelines and tools that let us combine our skillsets efficiently for mutual clients. INFINITY is a perfect example of that close collaboration in action. 1284 led the comms strategy, media relations and content marketing behind the launch. We designed and built the INFINITY technology park website itself.

What INFINITY technology park is and why the launch mattered
INFINITY is creating the UK’s only full-scale, high readiness site for the research, development and manufacture of fission, fusion and aerospace components. The site is 200 acres at Infinity Park in Derby. It’s backed by three guarantors: the University of Derby, Loughborough University and the Manufacturing Technology Centre. The numbers behind it are substantial: over £150 billion of sovereign UK programmes de-risked over 40 years, more than 17,500 new skilled jobs, over 1,500 trainees a year once fully operational and more than 4,000 new homes linked to the wider development.
Launching the INFINITY Technology Park Website
1284 described the brief well: a scalable communications asset, not a static launch brochure. That framing defined every design decision. The new website had to work immediately, in the first week of press coverage. It also has to still make sense two years later, once INFINITY has partners, tenants and its own news archive. We designed the structure, capability pages and navigation with that second stage in mind from day one.

Structuring the INFINITY Technology Park Website for SEO and AEO
The variety of INFINITY’s audience shaped our SEO and AEO thinking. A civil servant might search for INFINITY’s strategic case. A manufacturing partner might look for its capabilities. A journalist might just want a fact to check on a deadline. We worked with 1284 to structure content, headings and page layouts around answering each of those questions directly. This is the same principle behind how a search result or an answer engine decides what to ‘surface’. Search and AI visibility mattered from day one. For that reason, getting the technical foundations and structured content right at launch was essential.
Measuring the INFINITY Technology Park Website’s Reach
The 1284-directed launch generated real reach: a potential media audience of 250,000 in its first week. There was also photography with two university vice-chancellors and the Manufacturing Technology Centre’s chief executive. In addition, there was coverage of Chancellor John Healey MP’s visit and growth speech. You can read more via Loughborough University’s coverage of the launch and the Manufacturing Technology Centre’s report on the Chancellor’s visit.

Ready for what comes next
The finished website now speaks to industry, government and investors from a single, scalable platform. You can read more about the thinking behind the launch in our insights post. If you’re planning a launch that needs to speak to different audiences at once, that’s the kind of problem we enjoy working through. In addition, we have the partners and associates poised to get your launch noticed.
The INFINITY technology park website launched to a potential media audience of 250,000 in its first week, backed by SEO and AEO foundations built to last well beyond launch day. We continue to work alongside 1284 Communications and look forward to seeing INFINITY grow into its next stage.
